Once they are Hellenic with their children just keep an eye on them hopefully they don't get switched to Faith or Heritage. So you're going to start noticing some of your Vassals looking rather poor as they become an adult.

Might have had something to do with Christendom only having about 30ish moral authority though, since Sunnis have owned Rome for going on a century at this point, and my swath of Scandinavia obviously owned the lovely and vulnerable estates of Britannia, what with them not being landlocked and being easy pickings for conquests without recourse. And then one day, France, Italy, the Balkans, and the upper bit of Hispania that had been liberated from the Umayyads just decided 'Eh. The Reconquista was actually going quite well. Or, at least, that's the only logical conclusion I've come to in my recent game where I'm absolutely destroying Germany in my recent Scandi-Germanic save, because he has no religious allies because the rest of Western Europe is Sunni for. The map does funny things with religion when it's got more freedom to do stuff in the shadows of intrigue.

While uncommon, I wouldn't say it's all that rare in a game with secret cults enabled.
